Dr. Ricardo Battaglino was recently awarded a Discovery Science Grant through Regenerative Medicine Minnesota. Dr. Battaglino's project is titled Netrin-1 to Promote Locomotor Recovery in Chronic SCI. The goal of this project is to test the efficacy of intraspinal administration of the protein Netrin-1 (NTN1), as a therapeutical approach to promote neurorecovery and voluntary locomotion in a rat model of chronic SCI.
